Saturdays party I was in my favourite venue, and closest, the Wickford CLC.
Great party with a fantastic crowd, the party started at 3pm, arrived at 2.30 with an enough time to set up. A few technical problems with the projector, so I didn’t use a screen.
Each party I do is different, working with kids always keeps you on your toes as you try and predict their next moves!
I also managed to get this party filmed and put onto DVD for the family, this is available as an extra.
Here is a sneaky peak of the video:
The CLC is located in the grounds of Bromfords School in Wickford near Basildon in Essex.
Please contact the team for more details on hire: 01268 562879. Make sure you mention my name and they will be extra nice to you!
Sunday is the day of rest. Not for me! This time I was off to Stansted and not off to the airport, but to the little town of Ugley.
Yes that’s right, Ugley!
Ugley is a nice little village near Stansted in Essex.
You do get a lot of planes flying over but I’m sure you get use to the noise.
Ugley village Hall is a nice little venue, that could of been almost a converted stables due to the shape of the building.
Inside is a nice venue with a polished wooden floor, a fireplace, kitchen, clean toilets, lots of windows and a funny looking stage!
The stage was very normal with Red pleated curtains a piano and the picture of the queen!
It was more how the stage was fabricated within the venue that was strange, it looked like the building was made around the stage if you see picture below, it was huge compared to the size of the room.
The stage was ideal for the party, creating a safe place for all the equipment away from the kids.
Not that my equipment isn’t safe, but kids love lots of buttons and shiny lights, hey I was a kid too!!!
The party was really good, with some comical characters as well.
The parents enjoyed it too, and had found out about me from a School Disco at Saint Andrews in Epping.
I have asked for the parents feedback as always, and for any negatives as well, it’s good to know what to improve on need to deliver an even better service.
So this leads me back to today, Monday. Today I am on the train heading into London for a training course on social media and how to use it to reach new clients. I do love Facebook and twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram, where do I stop!
It’s good to connect with friends that I don’t see everyday, but has also complimented my business, by improving my google ranking, gaining new contacts and providing advice for other entertainers to create a better industry!
Will try and write a blog entry on the return if I have any brainpower left!
